Showers of blessing
Franklin Graham prayed during the inauguration of Donald Trump. His opening comment was about rain being a sign of God’s blessing. Agreed it was not always used as a blessing but when the people were “in need” of rain was a blessing. Read Ezekiel 34:26. So like those people we are in need of “rain”.
He urged us to pray for all people and our leaders and to live in for peace so that we are a people that please God. 1 Timothy Chapter 2
He ended with these words, “He wants all people to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth for there is one God, one mediator between God and mankind –the man Christ Jesus who gave himself as a ransom for all people. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, the honor and glory forever and ever in Jesus’s name amen.”
Don’t you just love to hear the name of Jesus proclaimed in public? Hallelujah!!!
Now can we sing, ”There shall be showers of blessing: this is the promise of love; there shall be seasons refreshing, sent from the Savior above.. . . Mercy drops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead.”
He ended with a song I am working on for spring,” Immortal, Invisible, God only wise.”
